PRP – Hair Regrowth & Stretch Marks
Platelet Rich Plasma, referred to as PRP, is a non-surgical treatment that uses your own healing process to stimulate skin and follicle recovery. PRP refers to the portion of your blood containing platelets and growth factors, which is for tissue healing and repair. The therapy utilises these elements to rejuvenate skin, with the growth factors helping collagen stimulation, combining to reduce the signs of ageing and any skin conditions. It is made possible by drawing blood from a patient’s body, after which a centrifuge would be used to separate the platelets and plasma from the red blood cells. After this, micro-needling takes place, and they rub platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on the skin to stimulate elastin fibres and collagen that promote cell turnover.
- Stimulate & reactivate dormant or weakened hair follicles
- Produce thicker & healthier hair
- Reduce stretch marks, cellulite & saggy skin
What are the treatment areas ?
PRP Hair Regrowth Therapy works by injecting the patient’s own concentrated platelet-rich plasma into the hair follicles, which stimulates and reactivates dormant or weakened hair follicles to produce thicker and healthier hair. The process begins with a simple blood draw from the patient’s arm; this is then placed in a centrifuge machine which separates the red blood cells from the plasma. The PRP is then injected into the scalp using a very fine needle, allowing the platelets to be delivered directly and efficiently to where they are needed. Thanks to this process, hair follicles are nourished and stimulated in the scalp, resulting in an increase in blood flow to the area.
PRP can be used to combat Stretch Marks, Cellulite & Saggy Skin creating a smooth and even appearance of the skin. The platelets induce massive fibroblasts which are cells found in skin that act as soldiers in the battle against damaged skin tissue. Platelets release growth factors that work to eliminate necrotic tissue and boost cell regeneration. Growth factors (bioactive proteins) attract macrophages which are large white blood cells that eat up cellular debris and produce stem cells for tissue repair.
